A Bit About Me
Originally hailing from Brisbane, Michael moved to Sydney to complete a BA in Liberal Arts and Diploma of Classical Languages (Greek and Latin) at Campion College, Old Toongabbie. Following his undergraduate studies which provided him with a foundational grounding in Theology, History, Philosophy, Literature, Mathematics and the Classical Languages, he established his career in Sydney. He has held a variety of roles crucial to the supply chain process of construction retail. However, realising his true passion was providing transformative residential landscaping solutions to clients across Sydney from the East to the West, he established his own landscaping company in 2023, Woorndoo Gardens.
The Woorndoo Journey
Woorndoo
The importance of the work
Named after his grandfather's sheep farm in Nyngan, NSW, Woorndoo means 'place of fire.' Among other landscaping services such as woodwork, plant selection and installation, and space redesign, Michael specialises in incorporating natural stone features, paving and cladding into his residential projects.
Michael is passionate about the role human-centred urban planning plays in fostering collaborative communities. Through his work as a landscaper, he has witnessed outdoor green spaces being the first place people turn to for mental reset and rejuvenation of spirit. Whether it is a private residential outdoor space or a public greenspace, he believes considerate design is key and well designed outdoor spaces can offer opportunities to feel connected rather than isolated.
Working with you!
Michael and his dedicated team look forward to working with you on achieving your landscaping dreams.
